NYC Alumni, we are trying to generate some exposure for a group of people that are looking to charter a Western New York Clemson Club this year. If you know anyone in the Western NY area, please get this information out to them.

Hello Fellow Alumni,It is with great excitement that I tell you that we hope to charter a Western New York Clemson Club this year!Because of the varied locations and interests of members of our Clemson family, different clubs have been developed to provide special opportunities for information exchange, networking, and group activities.Through conversations I have had with coworkers, family and friends it appears that there are multiple alumni in the Western New York area that would like to be locally connected with our alma mater.

I will be hosting a WNY Clemson Alumni Mixer on Saturday, June 9, 2012 starting 6:00 pm at Pearl Street Grill & Brewery in Downtown Buffalo.

If you are interested attending the mixer or connecting with your fellow tigers and your university please contact me at the number or email provided below. If you know of other alumni, family or friends that would be interested in being involved with a Western New York Clemson Club please pass this information on to them.

2012 Kentucky Derby Party

Join your fellow Clemson and ACC alums for the running of the 138th Kentucky Derby! This event is being hosted by the Virginia Tech NYC Alumni at Van Diemens from 4-8pm on Saturday, May 5.

Price of this event is $45 per person ($50 at the door) with a portion of the event proceeds going to benefit scholarships for area students. The price includes the following: open bar with Mint Julep Station, live auction items, and Best Dressed Awards.

Clemson Tigers Baseball Game Watch

2012 National Day of Service

On Saturday, April 14, 2012 the Clemson University Tri-State Area Alumni Club will be partnering with The Riverside Park Fund for Clemson University’s National Day of Service. The event will last from 10:00am until 1:00pm with activities ranging from spreading woodchips, weeding, planning, and picking up debris to a whole host of other beautification efforts. [read more]

ACC Boat Cruise

Join your fellow Clemson and ACC alums for a night of fun and fellowship as we depart on the Second Annual ACC Booze Cruise. Enjoy an evening ride past the Manhattan Skyline, Statue of Liberty, and the South Street Seaport. The price of this event is $55 per person if you pre-purchase your ticket; $55 at the door (space may be limited). This cost includes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and DJ.

Boarding will begin at 7:15pm and the boat, operated by Marco Polo Cruises, will depart promptly at 8pm. As an added bonus, an after party will be hosted by Bartab. When you sign up for the cruise, Bartab will send you your first $1 drink to the bar where we will keep the party going (TBD). Please remember to “Like” Bartab NYC to see photos from the cruise and hear about upcoming events.

Young Alumin Brooklyn Brewery Tour

Meet us at 1:30pm to get your first drink before the tour at 2:00pm. Tokens are $5/beer or $20/5 beers. The brewery does not serve food but you can bring your own or order in!

Join the ACC Alumni Dodgeball Team

Registration Opens 2/13/12:
The ACC Alumni Club is forming a spring Dodgeball team. ZogSports is a co-ed, social sports league for “grownups”. You can be active, play sports, meet people all while donating to charity and attending happy hours after each game. Oh, the feel of being back in college. Register as an individual for the Monday/Wednesday Dodgeball league in the casual division and put “ACC” in the comments section to get placed on the team.

2012 Discover Orange Bowl

The Tigers head to Miami to for the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl, where they’ll face off with the West Virginia Mountaineers. Please join us at The Three Monkeys on Wednesday, Jan 4th at 8pm to cheer on our Tigers. We’ll be upstairs for game watch with overflow space downstairs. Clemson vs GaTech Game Watch

After hanging almost 60 points on UNC, our BCS ranked #5 Tigers hit the road to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets this Saturday, Oct 29 at 8:00pm. Our game watch moves to The Mean Fiddler this week, where we’ll still enjoy great deals on drinks, menu specials and more.

The Mean Fiddler is a short seven block walk from our normal stomping grounds; we would still love to CU!
